The Solar Eclipse and Vijita

15^th January, 2010 - the first solar eclipse of the year. A solar eclipse till now was just one of the things that happen in life. But this time it was different. Vijita was all armed with the information of the solar eclipse. When the eclipse will begin and when it will end. She woke early though school was closed. (Superstitions still control things in India). Breakfast was ready early and the hunt began for the elusive solar eclipse goggles in Bangalore. We had only one and she did not want to risk Ria trying to imitate her when she looked at the spectacle in the sky. Ria is a copy-cat so was bound to follow her actions. The hunt was unsuccessful. Bangalore is a big city but some things don't exist here. I am trying to get the body of a Samsung 3010 phone for 2 months and have tried about 100 shops and still no luck. The worst part is that shopkeepers don't even make a promise that "Saar! come tomorrow, will get it for you". Anyways, that's another story.

The hunt was over and we were back home. 2 minutes for eclipse for begin and off she is with the goggles. I am trying to get ready for work and she has already made arrangements that Ria is at her best friend Kannan's house so that she can watch the solar eclipse peacefully. I too take a 2 minutes glimpse before rushing to catch the company cab. I knew that she would have a great time watching the eclipse.

There are very few people in this world who are passionate about their work. Vijita is one of them and hope this passion continues and grows.
